No pics to share right now but I wanted to give a quick update. I'm traveling this week (in Lancaster, PA) but hope to get back in my studio by Friday. The weather here is dreary with gray skies, brown earth and lots of rain. I saw quite a few great looking art galleries on our quick tour through Lancaster though...hope to get a chance to check those out tomorrow. I do have my two kiddos with me, so we'll see!
I mentioned recently, that I opened an Etsy store last week. Now I've joined an Etsy group called VAST - Visual Artist Street Team...a great and varied bunch of artists that have banded together to support and encourage each other. Check out our blog here.

latest ~ daily painting
I took a break from my oil painting and did some more watercolor birds. We were having some lake effect snow today...the giant, lazy, big snowflake kind of snow. There was a male cardinal sitting just outside my window with the snow coming down all around...I guess it got me back in the bird groove.

cyber art
It's been a busy week!
My husband (it's so nice to have talent in the family) helped me redesign my website... and I just launched an Etsy store. Please check them out...any feedback would be appreciated!
I've been painting too...working on a large landscape of Australia. I'll post pictures of that soon. In the meantime, here's a picture of my very cluttered studio. It's tight in there (it doubles as my husband's office) but I'm grateful to have a separate room.

new work - daily painting
Sinking Ponds is a small park near our house in East Aurora. It's usually the first place we go once the snow clears to take the kids on a tromp through the woods. I took this photo last spring. The scene is looking across a marsh to a golf course in the distance.

flowers in winter -daily painting
I'm back to painting flowers. It's a bit dreary outside now...the snow has melted and everything is brown. Better to dream about summertime. The bouquet was from my garden and the the "susans" painting is from a photo taken in Rangeley, Maine last summer.
